DeLeon, Claire
Associate
ALHS After School Program

Join in After School!

The ExCEL, Stonestown Family YMCA, Abraham Lincoln High School After School Program offers a calendar of academic support and enrichment activities every day until 6:00pm, for all Lincoln students. The after school program is free to join, with a free snack every day, and most classes are drop-in.

Tutoring is offered after school in multiple tutoring centers ran by Lincoln teachers: Math, English, and Writing. All other subjects require appointments with peer tutors, which can be made through Ms. Deleon in room 182. Appointments are available M-F, after school until 6:00pm, for tutoring in the library at Lincoln.

Credit recovery is offered at Lincoln high through Cyber High courses and Night School courses. All credit recovery classes follow the semester schedule, and require a counselor referral. See your counselor for information on how to sign up.

Enrichment activities are offered every day after school. Music classes, Graffiti murals, Intramural sports, and the after school teen cultural center are all open to Lincoln students. See Ms. Deleon in 182 to join in, or stop by the class on the day it’s held.

The Teen Cultural Center is open every day until 6:00pm, and has space for homework help, service learning projects, games, and community. Join in the teen Delegation Council to make decisions about future program planning. Council meets twice a month after school. See Ms. Kurz in 177 with questions.

For more information, see Ms. Deleon or Ms. Kurz in room 182, or room 177, the after school teen cultural center. Or, you can email CdeLeon@ymcasf.org.

Ms. Deleon’s working hours are 10:30am-6:00pm M-F, and is best reached by email.

Ms. Kurz’s working hours are from 1:00-6:00pm, M-F.
